It means Dale have made it two wins out of two from publicised pre-season fixtures so far, without conceding a goal.
Dieseruvwe was involved on a couple of occasions before scoring his second of pre-season, almost meeting an Aidan Barlow cross before seeing a turn and shot well held by Grimsby stopper Christy Pym.
His second goal of pre-season came in the 23rd minute, when he nodded home Tobi Adebayo-Rowling’s cross, who had received a through ball from Ryan East down the right side.
Goalkeeper Oliver Whatmuff had collected a number of through balls at the edge of the area, before he made a fine one-on-one save from Charles Vernam, although the offside flag had gone up anyway.
Joe Pritchard sent a well-struck free-kick into the Grimsby wall after East had been scythed down just before the break, whilst Beckwith sent a Pritchard delivery from another free-kick narrowly wide at the beginning of the second period.
Whatmuff was called into action twice in quick succession, palming away Kieran Green’s cross at the second attempt before holding Tyrell Warren’s header.
Head Coach Jimmy McNulty made a host of changes midway through the second period, with goalkeeper Trialist B standing strong to deny Green an equaliser for the visitors.
Tarryn Allarakhia saw a shot saved by Christy Pym at the other end, before seeing a low ball across the face of goal turned behind with Henderson lurking.
Corey Edwards fired over from distance inside the final ten minutes before Devante Rodney netted in the second minute of added time.
After latching on to a long pass forward from the trialist goalkeeper, Dale’s number ten held off his marker before finding the far bottom corner.
