Billy Hardwidge’s brace managed to claw Dale level with 78th minutes played before the visitors netted three to make it 5-2 at Wright Robinson.
The Magpies, who were also winless going into the game, scored twice from set-pieces in the opening period.
Dale, however, responded excellently after the interval with Hardwidge taking his two goals really well to level the scores.
The game looked on course to end with a point apiece before Notts re-took the lead which rocked the side in blue. A further two goals from the away side made for what appeared a convincing scoreline, with plenty of positives to take from the afternoon.
