Hosannah Is First Summer Addition

Rochdale Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Bryce Hosannah.

The defender has penned an initial one-year deal at the Crown Oil Arena, becoming our first summer signing.

A former Crystal Palace and Leeds United youngster, Hosannah was part of the Wrexham squad that achieved promotion from the National League in 2023.

Speaking on the deal, the versatile player is raring to get underway.

“I’m really happy to get it over the line.

“It’s a great club and they play a great style of play which suits me so once I heard the interest I wanted to get it sorted and I’m happy it is done.

“I had a chat with the manager which went really well, I’m looking forward to playing the way he wants to and hopefully I can bring something to the team.

“I can’t wait to play in front of the fans.”

Hosannah joined the Palace Academy at an early age, progressing through the ranks to earn scholarship terms with the Eagles.

He joined Leeds United in the summer of 2017, spending time on loan at League Two Bradford City during his four-year stay at Elland Road.

In August 2021, the now 26-year-old joined Wrexham, where he helped to earn promotion back to the EFL in his second season in North Wales.

Last February, Hosannah joined AFC Fylde, making 35 appearances in 15 months with the Coasters and featured for just shy of an hour in our visit to Mill Farm on Boxing Day.

Welcome, Bryce!
