Throughout the 25/26 campaign, Sam went above and beyond, engaging with his player sponsors as well as with fans on matchdays. For this, he was named as Rochdale AFC Community Trust Men’s Player of the Season.
Despite missing a large chunk of the season through injury, he always had a smile on his face when chatting with supporters, taking the time to genuinely connect. In particular, his engagement with non-verbal supporter, Karson Gledhill, makes him a worthy nominee.
