The 19-year-old right-sided player joins until the end of the season.
Speaking after completing his move, Okeke commented:
“The manager said he really likes me as a player and told me about how he thinks I can help the team.
“That made me really happy and confident about signing here, and I’ve enjoyed my first few days at the club.
“The lads have been really welcoming and training has been good. I’m excited to show the fans what I’m about.”

Born in Germany, Okeke began his career in the Academy of FC St Pauli before joining Oldham Athletic’s Academy when he moved to England at an early age.
In the summer of 2023, he moved to Stockport County and spent time on loan at National League North clubs Chester and Hereford.
He made his County debut earlier this season in the EFL Cup before joining South Shields, where he made 11 appearances.
Okeke will wear number 29 during his time at the Crown Oil Arena. He is cup-tied having already featured in the competition, so will be unavailable for this weekend’s Emirates FA Cup first round tie against Bromley.
Welcome, Jid!
