Sam Beckwith Signs New Contract

Rochdale Football Club is delighted to announce that Sam Beckwith has signed a new contract.

The defender has penned a new two-year deal, which extends his stay at the Crown Oil Arena to the summer of 2028.

On signing the deal, Beckwith commented:

“I’m buzzing to sign. It’s the place I really want to be.

“I love everything to do with the club – the players, all the staff, the owners, the fans.

“The club have shown a real loyalty towards me since my injury, and it’s only right that I repay that.”

Beckwith joined Dale in July 2024 on a two-year deal, making 53 appearances in his first season, scoring on three occasions.

He was named in the National League’s Team of the Season following the end of the campaign, also picking up the Players’ Player of the Season at the club’s awards evening.

The 24-year-old has featured 19 times in 2025/26 and scored in our win over Solihull Moors before suffering a hamstring injury which has kept him out of action since December.

We continue to wish him all the best in his road to recovery and can’t wait to see Sam back out there.

Congratulations, Becks!
