The former Burnley youngster made 14 appearances earlier this campaign for Dale between August and October before heading out to the Linnets on an initial one-month loan deal in January, which was then extended at the beginning of March.
He appeared ten times for the National League North side, making his final outing in Adam Lakeland’s side’s defeat to Spennymoor Town last month.
