This is the second of three group matches, following a battling 4-2 defeat to Oldham Athletic at the start of September.
Our visitors Carlisle also suffered the same fate in their cup opener, losing by the same scoreline at home to Bolton Wanderers, who Dale face next month.
It was a tough afternoon at the weekend for Dale as Lincoln City ran out comfortable winners at Wright Robinson Sports College.
Tuesday’s match will be played at Platt Lane Sports Complex, with kick-off at 2pm. Supporters can attend the fixture for free but must fill out this form prior to the game.
Dale’s remaining group fixtures are as follows:
Carlisle United (H), Tuesday 15th September, 2pm
Bolton Wanderers (A), Tuesday 20th October, 2pm
