Overview – Following our victory over the Moors, then caretaker manager James Quinn took charge of two more games before handing the reigns to Chris Millington. Despite going winless in his first two, their home form picked up with three straight wins without conceding a goal. After defeat to FC Halifax Town, Milington’s former employers, they went four games unbeaten which included a ruthless performance at home to Tamworth, winning 7-1 on Boxing Day. Coming into the game, Solihull have scored 20 goals in their last five outings, with their only defeat coming away to high-flying Boreham Wood. The re-signing of Joe Sbarra, who’s netted six times already, and the form of recently signed permanently Scott High, means the Midlands side sit just four points away from the Playoffs and back in with a chance.
