THE OPPOSITION
Overview – Adam Lakeland’s side find themselves a place outside the Playoff positions, following just their third back-to-back defeats of the season. The form and run that Halifax produced, including our defeat to the Shaymen in October, saw them win five in a row and progress in the FA Cup, however their inconsistency sprung into action again as they went five in the league without a victory. The Yorkshire outfit bounced back from defeat at Boreham Wood to lose just one of their next seven matches, looking steady in the top seven. This month has been the trickiest in terms of results, with just a 1-0 win over Truro City sandwiched in between being knocked out of two cup competitions and losing to Aldershot Town, Gateshead and most recently York City. They are a free-scoring outfit, having converted in every game since 15th November when they lost at Sutton United, both Will Harris and Josh Hmami have 26 goals between them.

Harvey Gilmour, Devante Rodney, Mani Dieseruvwe and Liam Hogan all face their former employers again. We have a new name in the building who appeared on loan for the Shaymen in the shape of Manny Duku, during the 2018/19 season.
Cody Johnson joined Dale in the summer of 2023 but was recalled in early August due to injuries at his parent club Stockport County.
The midfielder spent last campaign on loan at National League North’s King’s Lynn Town under current Halifax manager Adam Lakeland, linking up again together in 2025. Johnson has netted twice so far, making 28 appearances in total.
