Alongside Dale Legend Joe Thompson will be former Dale youth player Bader Al-Akkad. Who himself is a cancer survivor and is collaborating with Joe Thompson on this event. Bader, like Joe has himself just beat Hodgskins Lymphoma and is aiming to give back to fellow cancer patients.
The Joe Thompson XI will take on a Celebrity All Stars XI to raise funds for the Christie, Souriyat across borders.
So far, former Dale players Simon Ramsden and Tom Kennedy have been confirmed as players for the Joe Thompson XI. More names are set to be announced soon!
There will also be chances to win signed shirts before the game as well as at half-time.
The game, sponsored by UA92, Springchat, endup tech and Inspire Capital Sports, will take place on Monday, May 29th.
Kick-off is 2pm and tickets can be purchased HERE or at the Stadium.
