The striker scored his sixth and seventh of the campaign in a dominant first-half for Dale, who made it three wins on the trot to maintain second place in the National League table.
Jimmy McNulty named an unchanged squad, with all 11 starters and seven substitutes from last weekend’s win at Wealdstone keeping their places.
It was a quiet affair for the opening 15 minutes before Dale really began to hit their stride.
Dieseruvwe met Tobi Adebayo-Rowling’s cross from the byline, sending his header on target, but was denied by a diving save from Braintree goalkeeper Mason Terry, shortly before Kyron Gordon headed over Tarryn Allarakhia’s corner.
Dale were causing problems for the visiting defence, with Dieseruvwe at the heart of everything. He sent a shot on the counterattack inches wide of the far post, before seeing another shot blocked from the edge of the area.
Terry denied another headed effort from Dale’s number nine, who had met Ryan East’s delivery, but he couldn’t prevent Dieseruvwe a third time as he opened the scoring shortly before the hour mark.
It was worked out to the left where Allrakhia whipped in a dangerous left-footed cross towards the head of Dieseruvwe, who planted one into the bottom corner.
Less than five minutes later, he doubled the lead. Adebayo-Rowling cut out Terry’s ball forward and drove into the area, finding Dieseruvwe. After a quick one-two, the striker cushioned a left-footed effort into the far corner.
Devante Rodney had a powerful effort saved by Mason shortly before the break, as Dale continued to pile on the pressure.
After the break, Diesuervwe had another header deflected wide, with Ethan Ebanks-Landell nodding over the resulting corner.
Goalkeeper Oliver Whatmuff was called into action for the first real time just before the hour mark, saving John Akinde’s low shot with his feet.
Substitute Connor McBride and Rodney both had efforts inside the Braintree area well blocked, whilst Harvey Gilmour fired over after a nice one-two with Dieseruvwe on the edge of the area.
The latter then saw a shot on the slide inside the area well blocked, whilst Marley Marshall-Miranda and Chay Cooper sent efforts well off target for the visitors.
Dale, whilst not at their best, were able to see out the remaining minutes comfortably, making it three wins in a row.
