The defender played 90 minutes on his debut for the Club, having joined on Friday, and helped steer Dale to a clean sheet.
“The boys dug in,” Flint commented.
“It’s a good point in hindsight and a clean sheet. We had a couple of chances first half where we could have scored. Their keeper has pulled off an unbelievable save in the bottom corner, and we’ve hit the bar a swell.
“After the break, the boys put their bodies on the line, and Nils [Ramming] got some good fists on the ball. It’s something to build on.”
The 37-year-old, who has signed a deal until January, says he hopes to bring his experience to help Dale’s younger players in the squad.
“I’ve been brought in for that bit of experience. It’s my 20th year playing men’s football now, so if my experience can brush off on them, that’s amazing.
“We defended resolutely today and we can build on it next week. In the end, it’s a good point.”
