The goalkeeper has spent two months at Dale so far, after initially joining from his parent club Burnley on 16th November, making his debut at Wealdstone.
Waller says he is happy to be staying and is ready to help bring success to the team.
“I’ve been really enjoying how the season has gone so far and my time at Rochdale,” states Waller.
“I’m excited to kick on now and hoping for a positive end to the season.”
Sam came up against his goalkeeping coach Josh Lillis a couple of years ago in the Lancashire FA Senior Cup and says it’s beneficial to be working with the former Dale man.
“Working with Josh and learning from his experience has been great.
“I’m eager to impress him and the gaffer and continue working hard.
The 21-year-old has made eight appearances to date, keeping four clean sheets in the process in what has been an impressive defensive showing this season.
“It’s a group effort, making sure we’re compact in our defensive shape and working collectively.
“The lads have been great as soon as I stepped through the door they’ve been top with me and I’m looking forward to building those relationships more.”
Great to have you with us, Sam!
