Dale took less than 90 seconds to open the scoring, but the visitors equalised three minutes before the break.
Dieseruvwe netted a second midway through the second period and it proved to be the winner, as Dale stayed top of the Enterprise National League.
Jimmy McNulty made one change from the weekend’s win over Carlisle United, as Jake Burger replaced Aidan Barlow, who took up a spot on the bench.
Dale got off to a lightning start at a rain-soaked Crown Oil Arena, taking the lead inside two minutes.
A move down the right saw Devante Rodey feed Kyron Gordon, who squared a low ball into the middle, where Dieseruvwe swept home from six yards out.
Gordon was involved again ten minutes later, this time finding Rodney, whose well-struck low shot was turned wide by visiting goalkeeper Harry Isted.
Isted’s opposite number, Oliver Whatmuff, was called into real action for the first time when Ricardo Rees went through one-on-one, but the Dale stopper stayed big to deny the Forest Green man.
Rodney and Dieseruvwe were rebuffed by the Rovers defence as Dale went in search of a second, but it was the visitors who bagged the next goal, when Kyle McAllister’s powerful left-foot shot found the bottom corner.
Whatmuff had to make a fine save on the stroke of half-time, getting low to his left to beat away Nick Haughton’s free-kick, ensuring the score was level at the break.
Ten minutes into the second period, Dale thought they had retaken the lead. Dan Moss got on the end of a Ryan East corner, prodding goalwards, but despite protestations that it had crossed the line, the officials waved play on.
In the 65th minute though, Dale did grab a second. Moss made a fine challenge on the left side and, on the slide, played an incredible ball into the feet of Dieseruvwe inside the area. He took a touch to set himself before coolly slotting past Isted for his second of the game.
Dale were just inches away from a third soon afterwards, when Rodney was denied by a stunning goal line clearance as the visitors threw their bodies on the line.
Whatmuff made another fine save in the final ten minutes when he turned Harvey Bunker’s header around the post, as Forest Green saw plenty of the ball in their attempts to rescue a point from the game.
However, an impressive rearguard display and composed football in added time from Dale saw McNulty’s men hold on for the three points and a seventh successive win.
