THE OPPOSITION
Overview – It wasn’t that long ago since our draw against the Iron, which was sandwiched in between four defeats for our opponents, halting their progress towards the top three of the Enterprise National League table. Scunthorpe only won one game of seven in February, which came at home to Southend United. The month of March has certainly seen spirits raised, beginning with a comfortable 3-0 triumph at Yeovil Town, new arrival Leo Farrell at the double on just his second appearance on loan from Barnsley. A slight blip followed with defeat at home to Sutton United, however three consecutive wins have followed and all by a one-goal margin with two of those going right down to the wire with 90+ minute winners. Danny Whitehall and Callum Roberts have 33 league goals between them with Andy Butler’s side knowing they could end the midweek schedule in fourth, should results go their way.
