The midfielder has penned a deal that keeps him at the Crown Oil Arena until the summer of 2027.
On his new contract, Gilmour commented:
“I think everyone in the club knew my decision, it was very easy.
“I love it here, I thought it was a no-brainer.
“I had quick chat (with the gaffer) and what we’ve gone through over the years, it’s something I have really enjoyed.
“It was extra special to reach 100 games and I’m loving every second of it.”
Gilmour joined Dale in May 2023 on a two-year deal, which was extended by a year the following summer.
He was named our Supporters’ and Players’ Player of the Season in the 2023/24 campaign and has won the last five Dale Trust Player of the Month awards.
The 27-year-old has appeared 119 times for the club since joining, playing an integral part in Jimmy McNulty’s team.
