Last weekend’s defeat at Blackpool was the young lads’ first in two games after back-to-back home victories, where they scored 10 and stretched the unbeaten run at Platt Lane to three. They will aim to add to the home comforts this time around when table toppers Bolton Wanderers make the short journey.
The Whites are unbeaten in the division this season and are three points clear at the top and have played three games less than second-placed Wrexham. The only game where they haven’t secured maximum points this season was a 2-2 draw with the Welsh side back in September, with wins a plenty since with scorelines such as 7-0, 6-2, 6-1, 9-1 and most recently 7-2 at fifth-placed Preston North End where they were 7-1 up at half-time.
With six games remaining, focus is fully onto the league as Dale sit 15th in their final EFL Youth Alliance campaign. Midfielder Will Clift has three goals in two games, giving us the lead last time out as Dale aim to return to winning ways.
