The left-sided defender joins the club on an initial one-month loan deal from League Two side MK Dons.
Upon arriving at the club, the 20-year-old commented;
“I’m really excited to be here.
“As soon as I heard of the interest, it’s something that excited me with the club doing really well.
“The manager believes I suit the way the team want to play and that will help me mould into the team.
“I played against Dale last season, I saw the winning mentality, playing good football and I look forward to getting going.”
Waller joined The Dons from the Under-12s stage, progressing through to their Under-18s, where he captained the side.
He signed his first professional deal with the club in June 2023, making his debut the following August in an EFL Trophy tie with Chelsea Under-21s.
During the 2023/24 campaign, Charlie endured loan spells with Rushden & Diamonds and Billericay Town before joining Banbury Town until the end of season in the National League North.
This earned the youngster a loan move up to the National League, joining Sutton United in August 2024, scoring on his debut away at Wealdstone.
Waller returned to MK Dons the following December, appearing nine further times.
The defender will wear the number 35 during his time at the club.
