The wide player has penned an initial one-year deal at the Crown Oil Arena.
Senior has been on trial with Jimmy McNulty’s men for over a week, appearing as a substitute in the 5-2 win over Salford City last weekend.
“I’m delighted to sign here,” commented Senior.
“My agent was speaking to the gaffer for a while. I came up for a few days, did well and from there he was keen on getting something sorted.
“It’s a massive club with a great history behind it, but the main factor for me was the manager. When I first came in we had a long and genuine conversation about life, how he would see me fitting into the team and how he wants to play. From that conversation, my mind was already set on wanting to get something done.
“I’m excited about the coming season. We’ve got a great group of lads with great quality, and I know we can definitely achieve things.
“I haven’t played as much as I would have liked in recent years, and I owe it to myself to show everyone what I’m about again.”
Head Coach Jimmy McNulty commented:
“We are really happy to add Courtney to our group. He’s a player with proven EFL calibre, who is at a good age whereby he has good playing experience and maturity, but also remains hungry to get better and help our team with his attacking qualities.
“Courtney is a good person who I believe has qualities on and off the pitch to impact the team, whilst also supporting it too.
“I believe he will be a good addition to the changing room and I’m really happy he has agreed to join us.”
Senior began his career with Brentford, rising through their Academy ranks before making his first team debut in August 2015.
He joined Colchester United in the summer of 2016, going on to make over 140 appearances for the U’s.
Spells at Newport County and AFC Wimbledon followed, before signing for Barnet last summer.
After 22 appearances for the Bees in the first half of last season, he had loan spells at Yeovil Town, who went on to win the National League South, and Hartlepool United.
